This alterations and additions project to a heritage house in Cottesloe is the first stage in a proposed two stage development. It includes the addition of one bedroom, a bathroom and an ensuite bathroom as new floor area, and the renovation of existing spaces internally to provide for a walk-in-robe and new passage serving the childrens’s bedrooms. At the rear of the property a new double garage is located to tie in with stage two works. A new single carport at the front complements the style of the original and serves to conceal the side additions.

The house itself on listed on the town of Cottesloe’s Municipal heritage Inventory and as such is subject to the specific development guidelines. The additions were therefore located away from the front of the original house, in an unused area to the East, nestled behind a new carport.
