Project Description:
Designed to provide motel style accommodation facilities for the Capricorn Roadhouse in Newman, the pre-fabricated modules have been sited in a two-storey , back-to –back configuration with connecting walkways at the front and rear, and service breezeways in-between.A combination of 3 bedroom, 4 bedroom, and 2 bedroom universal access rooms all with their own ensuite, are arranged in an oval shape around a large central landscaped courtyard. Connecting walkways and stairs provide ample circulation in and around the complex.A total of 40 buildings, comprising 144 rooms, provide much needed accommodation for workers, travellers and the like within the extensive truck-stop and roadhouse complex.The unit modules were fabricated in Malaysia, with detailed supervision and quality control undertaken by the Australian Design and Construct Team. Fabrication of walkways, stairs and assorted other site elements was coordinated in Perth, resulting in a quick assembly phase on site.
